The Dirksen Center wants to help teachers teach better by giving them the opportunity to use technology to create, customize, and share online learning activities in their classrooms. The Center wants to help students learn more by bringing educational resources together in one place that provide new ways to learn about Congress interactively.

Leonard Peltier, a political prisoner/convicted murderer, was the candidate for the Peace and Freedom Party. What state did Peltier receive 27,000 votes from?

A) Vermont
B) Oregon
C) Washington
D) California [The Peace and Freedom Party has been in and out of eligibility for years before the party finally regained ballot status. Peltier is serving a life sentence for the murder of two FBI agents in 1975. Activists say he was framed because of his involvement in the American Indian Movement. Peltier beat another controversial figure, Mumia Abu Jamal, for the Party's spot for president.]
