The Dirksen Center wants to help teachers teach better by giving
them the opportunity to use technology to create, customize,
and share online learning activities in their classrooms. The
Center wants to help students learn more by bringing educational
resources together in one place that provide new ways to learn
about Congress interactively.
Trivia: There are two ways to amend the Constitution. By the
year 2002, which one had NOT been used?
A. The Executive Branch and Judicial Branch propose it.
B. Two thirds of both Houses of Congress vote on it.
C. In a Constitutional Convention.
[Answer – The usual
way is for a bill to pass both halves of the legislature, by
a two-thirds majority in each. Once the bill has passed both
houses, it goes on to the states. It must then be approved
by three-fourths of the states.]
